Our Counseling Program

This is a program of guidance and counseling services available to all students.  It includes crisis counseling for immediate needs, developmental, and preventive counseling.

How Does The Counselor Work With Students:

Classroom Guidance - The counselor goes into each classroom and talked with the entire class about topics such as: being responsible, getting along with others, taking tests, following school rules, and showing good manners.

Individual Counseling - The counselor is available to talk with students privately about personal issues and/or concerns.

Small Group Counseling - The counselor invites students who share common concerns to meet on a weekly basis.  Some of the student concerns may include anger, divorce, self-concept, study skills, shyness, peer relations, motivation, death, personal hygiene, and other concerns.

I got two A's," the small boy said. "I got two A's," the small boy said.
His voice was filled with glee. His voice filled with glee.
His father rather bluntly asked, His father proudly said, "That's great,
"Why didn't you get three?" I'm glad you belong to me."

"Mom, I've got the dishes done,"

"Mom, I've got the dishes done,"

The girl called from the door.

The girl called from the door.

Her mother rather calmly said, Her mother smiled softly,
"And did you sweep the floor?" "Each day I love you more."

"I mowed the grass," the tall boy said. "I mowed the grass," the tall boy said.
"And put the mower away." "And put the mower away."
His father asked him with a shrug, His father answered with much joy,
"And did you clean off the clay?" "Thanks, son, the makes my day."

The children in the house next door Children deserve a little praise
Seemed happy and content For tasks they're asked to do.
The same thin happened over there, If they're to lead a happy life,
But this is how it went. A lot depends on you.
