Elective Fair Spring Video 2012

  • Senior Picnic - will be held Monday, May 21, 2012 at 11:00am.

  • Graduation Rehearsal - rehearsal will be held on May 22, 2012 at 3:30pm at Sharp Stadium. Park at the football field parking by the visitor section.

  • Graduation  will be held at Sharp Stadium on May 26, 2012 at 7pm.

  • Students - all materials checked out from the media center are due NOW2 to avoid any late fees and additional penalties.

  • Seniors  -  remember you will NOT be able to walk at graduation if you have any unpaid fines to the media center or any other department at NHS.

  • Attention Class of 2013!  It is almost your time… Get ready to celebrate all that you have achieved with special senior portraits from Prestige Portraits that are all about you. Representatives from Prestige Portraits will be available during lunch on Monday May 21st and Tuesday May 22nd  with important information about senior portraits and how to look your best!  Don’t forget to stop by and see them to learn about special summer promotions and to schedule your photography appointment. Free Limited Edition Senior T-Shirts will be given out for each Upcoming Seniors who book a  Platinum or Gold session before July 15th!  Check your calendars and don’t forget to book your appointment today in the mall commons beside the cafeteria!!

  • Juniors who are interested in being a student aide for next school year need to see Mrs. Brand in room 15.

  • Senior dues -ALL senior dues or fines (including, but not limited to, textbook fees, library fees, outstanding athletic &/ extracurricular fees, lunch fees, Jostens balance) MUST be paid by May 11th in order to receive graduation information. Payment can be made in the form of cash, bank check or money order. Information regarding senior dues may be found on p.6 of the NHS agenda. For more options click HERE.

  • Congratulations to LaPorsche Thomas and Nancy Ejike, as have each received the Bill and Melinda Gates Scholarship for $500,000! That is a total of $1 million dollars for both students combined! This brings our total student scholarship earnings to approximately $5.5 million dollars to date, and we have many more scholarship announcements to make.  Congratulations to LaPorsche, Nancy, and all of our scholarship recipients.

  • AP Literature and Composition students - you have a summer reading assignment. See Ms. Johnson in room 36 for a copy. Click HERE for a copy.

  • ALANHS will hold its End of Year Meeting on May 10th at 6:00pm in NHS Auditorium. This is a mandatory meeting for the Academy of Liberal Arts parents and students. Information will be provided to parents and student regarding the Oxford/ALANHS Summer Institute and the 2012-2013 school year.  Please mark your calendars and save the date.

  • National Honor Society's Cinema and Treats - will be held on May 18th during 6th & 7th periods. Tickets in advance will be $3 per ticket. Tickets at the door will be $4.00.

  • Free tutoring - for the AP literature and composition exam is available every Tuesday and Thursday through May 15, 2012 in rooms 36 & 103 from 3:30 - 4:30pm.

  • Personal checks - effective 10/24/2011 personal checks are no longer accepted for any senior payments (i.e. dues, outstanding fines, trips). Please make payment(s) in the form of cash, bank checks or money orders.
