Mrs. Adams was born in Logan, West Virginia and graduated high school in Lowell, Mass. In August of 1972 she married Jimmy Adams, and had 3 sons:  Johnny, Justin, Jordan of which they have produced 2 granddaughters:  Emma and Charleigh, with a new grandson on the way that is due in April 2008.

Mrs. Adams started college when her oldest child was in the 10^th grade in 1988. She graduated in 1990 from Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College in 1990 with an Associate Degree as her son was graduating from high school in 1991. She graduated from West Virginia State College in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Education Multi-Subject k-8. She then attended West Virginia College of Graduate Studies (now Marshall) in 1996 with a Masters in Secondary Ed with Math. She is Currently attending UGA to obtain a Specialist Degree in Elementary Math. Her honors include being named a Top Ten Teacher 2006-2007, Teacher of the Year 2007–2008, Who’s Who Among Teachers (2 times), and Teacher of the Month

Mrs. Adams was also a Cheerleading Coach  in West Virginia, an Interact Club Sponsor at NHS from 1998 – 2002 and is now our Graduation Sponsor.
