On Monday, September 17th, Porterdale Elementary School hosted it’s first-ever Scholastic Klutz Build-a-Book party.  Four families from the school attended the event.  During the event, families created their own book using a Build-a-Book kit they purchased from the school’s fall book fair.  Topics for the books included the park, Six Flags and White Water, families, and three little pigs.  At the conclusion of the evening, the students were able to share their stories with the group.  The party was a wonderful opportunity for families to interact with one another while also implementing the school’s writing curriculum.
