Directions (From Atlanta) Travel east on I-20 to exit 88 (Almon Road) and turn right off the exit. At the exit ramp, turn immediately right onto Access Road (Frontage Road) and travel straight. Turn left at the first road on the left (Fairview Road) and then take the first road on the left, Jack Neely Road. The school sign is on the right and the school is located behind the hill.

* Unless application has been made to the theme school, all students zoned for Clements Middle School will attend the new Liberty Middle School starting in August 2009.
The Newton County Board of Education approved the establishment of a middle school theme school for the 2009-2010 school year. The school will be designated a parent involvement theme school and will be located at the current site of Clements Middle Students currently zoned for Clements will be zoned to the new Liberty Middle School on Salem Road, which is scheduled to open in August 2009.
Focus
The middle school theme school will focus on parent involvement and student leadership and will require parents to be a vital part of the education program. A committee of parents will work with the principal to devise a parent/student contract for their school. The committee will also decide which parental activities will be approved to meet the requirement of specified numbers of volunteer hours a year and other pertinent issues, such as the wearing of school uniforms.
Special Features
The new middle school theme school may pilot special features, such as: the development and implementation of a program which integrates research-centered/hands-on projects; the requirement of higher order problem solving and critical thinking, particularly in the areas of math and science; and increased reading assignments at home that are continued throughout the summer.
Transportation
At the middle school theme school, transportation will be provided on a limited basis to and from designated stops throughout the county.
